Positionally very elegant and specially has great feel for middlegame positions. Very calm and composed. Very fun loving off the board yet fierce competitor on the board and passionate about chess and in whatever he does.”

“Hello guys, I know Ramu Kandi Anna for over 18 years now. He is a very strong chess player and we played many National and International tournaments together. His positional understanding of the game is outstanding!!! A few tournaments we played together in Bangladesh, Pune International open, where Mr. Ramu’s insights and mentoring helped me score well against GMs and IMs. He is very creative and original thinker. I particularly remember the National Open Rapid chess championship at Kolkata in 2005, where he encouraged me to play a surprising opening Novelty in an unusual Sicilian defence setup with 5.Bd3!? which helped me beat 2 IMs in consecutive games! I am excited to hear that Mr. Ramu has started a Professional Chess Academy in Hyderabad, and it is a great opportunity for all the young kids to learn and succeed!! Good luck champs!!”
