Our Story
Chess Mavericks was established in January 2015 and has successfully produced potential chess players. The philosophy at chess mavericks is to transform aspirants into champions one move at a time. We put forth proven scientific and analytical tactics blended with the passion to help budding talents identify their true potentials in the game.
Know Your Guru
Chess Mavericks is the brainchild of Ramu Kandi, who holds International FIDE Master (Since 2005) and International FIDE Trainer (Since 2019) titles that were awarded by FIDE (World Chess Federation). His vision is to make every chess aspirant’s dream come true driving them through passion and organic skills.
Ramu has dedicated 30 years of his life to the game of chess and has learned every minor skill that needs to become a champion. He has proudly represented his state (Telangana), Country (India), and Alma mater (Osmania University) in university, state, national, international level games.
After winning multiple championships in age-group and open categories, Ramu is now on a path to become a chess guru, dedicating all his learning to the future Mavericks.
